2014 Octavia VRS TDI CR184 CUNA - DPF removal

Featured Replies

Hey all,

My Octavia just clocked 110k and the DPF is now doing my head in. It's also eating oil due to higher engine temps. It's regenerating pretty much constantly (oil Ash residue is at 65%) so I've got a darkside DPF replacement downpipe/EGR removal kit.

It's the CUNA / charge cooler engine. Currently running a DTUK box but this will be coming off, being replaced with an ECU/DSG remap from a trusted friend.

Planning on about 6-8 hours for the replacement as apparently its a nightmare, just wondered if anyone has any tips, tricks or pointers for anything else I should be doing/checking whilst the subframe is off/lowered and I'm in the back of the engine?

Car will also be getting an oil change and DSG service at the same time.

So yeah, if you've got the same kit or done something similar, let me know!

Cheers,

Joe
