Resetting trips

Featured Replies

In previous cars, including my last one ( a Kodiaq) it was possible to reset all trips in the dash matrix when I filled up with fuel. In the Kamiq, unless I'm missing something, I can only reset the trip for mileage.

Am I correct in thinking that most of the trips reset themselves when I refuel.

I ask because I like to be in control of these things, but also because my average mpg shown on the dash was wildly different to my own brim to brim figure.

There are 3 trip recordings, since reset, since start of journey, and long term.

From memory long term rolls over at 2000 miles.

Don’t know which version you have, or if yours is same, but last time I fiddled with this, you were able to change by having trip in the data (using left/right buttons on right hand side of steering wheel), then pushing down right thumbwheel, and whilst holding it down, scroll to toggle between the three.   There are a few of these sub-menus in certain modes when you hold down and scroll

If you have stalk buttons or steering wheel controls for the MFD then if you select the miles driven function, then press & hold the button to switch to the long term distance (will be less than 2K) then press and hold it for longer it will reset.

Not sure if it also resets the current journey or if you have to do that seperately.

I dont think that any trips reset when you refuel but you can do them all manually.

Press car then 2nd one down scroll to bottom. You can reset them all if you  want. I do this before I get out of the car before refilling

When I read this I thought, that sounds easy assuming you meant on the infotainment screen. Well I failed to find what what you're talking about, so could you pretend that I'm an absolute numpty and explain more clearly please.

I have discovered today though that the trips can be reset in a sub menu in the centre of the digital dash. What I can't do though get an average mpg figure to show in the middle of the digital dash as I used to in the matrix of my old Kodiaq. All I can get  if the constantly scrolling of the present mpg which is really annoying.

Sorry on informant screen press car under nav then Selection, Driving data, instrument cluster scroll to bottom you can reset since start, long term, trip recorder. To view average mileage go to CAR then settings Virtual cockpit view 1 then select what you want to see.  Then on your steering wheel press the bottom right button select driving data then press the scroll wheel to select long term since start or since refilling hope it makes sense hard to explain when writing

Thanks skoda 1982, that's where I got to earlier just using the contols on RHS of steering wheel without using the infotainment screen.

Trouble is, I'll have forgotten how I did it next time I want to use it. 😏

Since refuelling resets on refuelling.

I feel that 2,000 miles isn't very long for "long term".
