New Mk2 Octavia Question Curve_Lights/Engine_Noise/Bluetooth_Help

Featured Replies

Hi, I just obtained a 2013 2.0 vrs combi.
Just a few questions after owning for a couple weeks.

The Bluetooth finds my iphone 11 and new'er android, and my devices find the car no problem. both the devices and the car say Code "XXXXXX" if this is the same as the other press OK. So I press OK, and then the phones both just "connecting..." for  30-60s then the car display will say authentication or authorization has failed, check the code is entered correctly and try again. I checked the Bluetooth module its a 7P6 035 730 K, and I have the Bolero Head unit with touch screen. What is a winning combo to be able to connect for hands free and audio streaming. (when I search people recommend a new module and updating firmware but I don't know how on the firmware and which modules are compatible.)

The engine has a chain? ticking noise when decelerating but cant hear it when driving normally is that a timing chain noise and an issue to worry about or something else?

Curve lights, When the car starts up it does the up down left right adjustments but then I get a warning message on the display saying "Curve lights non function - check manual" but they seem to be working fine?? Any ideas on how to diagnose which one or how to repair or disable that system?

Any help appreciated. I bought a Scan tool but it doesn't read those types of codes.
