Magsafe holder for octavia?

Featured Replies

Can anyone suggest a phone holder with magsafe? Does not need to be a charging one.  If anyone used one that fits somewhere in octavia dash. Perhaps on the vent or even better.

I have never felt the need for a phone holder of any sort in the Octavia 4 as I can now use CarPlay which it gives me all the apps I need on the road and with Siri is easy to use without distraction.

As for placing the phone (iPhone XR), it's either on a wireless charger near the USB-C sockets, on an empty passenger seat, over the cup holders between front seats (it fits nicely in there), or in the door pocket.

Yeah well, i didnt ask for opinions for the holder,  just options for what to get :) Carplay does not affect my need for a holder.

In my current car i use the same spot as Octavias wireless charger. I just think that wireless chargers are stupid, since usually my drives are not that long that the charge would do anything more than spoil my battery. 7.5W is just a tease, not a real charging power. I like to have my display visible, hence the magsafe holder.

That’s fine. If you want a holder then that’s obviously your call - I was just surprised as I am pleased that I don’t want one after years in other cars in which I needed a holder.

Good point about the rate of charging though, and a reminder for us all not to spoil the battery. I often do 300+ mile journeys so not really an issue for me.

Sorry to agree with others but I’ve had Quadlock phone holders for years and I’ve just been using an apple car play car for a while and I have no need to see the phone either now.

I have used ProClip attachments in the past and bolted a Quadlock mount to one, maybe if you got a MagSafe attacviemnt you could attach it to a ProClip? Just an idea.
ProClip make a lot of mounts for police etc for attaching all sorts of stuff to the inside of your car, their mounts are ace as they are tailored to your car and mount in the trim gaps so there’s no screws or suckers or anything.

Didn't see it having magsafe options? I dont have any covers on my phone, hence the need for a magsafe holder.
