Hi guys im in Australia and I have a 2012 Hatchback Fabia, its been a great car and has just done 60000km, I bought it this year as our 2nd car and my son to learn to drive in it. 

Recently I drove in town no problem but leaving the car would not go into reverse and the engine light had come on, the gear number on the dash was also displaying a shifter symbol. 

Does anyone know what the problem is?? Im not handy enough to figure this out but if I can pass some sort of heads up to my mechanic it should save me some cash.

Which gearbox? I may know something but it's box dependent.

Being a Mk2 RS twincharger it has a dq200 DSG as they all have.  So plenty threads down this page, In this forum and pinned up top on them.  Someone will be along that can help or check those threads. Most recent will help.    There was and still is a Recall on the. In Australia.  3 rd now.
