Skoda Service and WArranty offer worth it?

Featured Replies

I received this offer in my email today.

20% off a 2 year all in service plan and warranty. Makes it £614

Included.

2 oil and inspection services. One with extended scope. Spark plug change. Two MOTs. 2 years warranty. 2 years roadside assistance.

Looks like getting the two years warranty for free.

If genuinely getting spark plugs and you can save money by not getting breakdown cover that you otherwise would have paid for then it could well be an ok price. I'd question the 2 years service and expect it to be 2 services.

It’s a bit of a mix of failure insurance and maintenance

£25.58 per month for 24 months

Not bad, but do read terms and conditions especially if you intend to change car in next 2 years.  Also got to remember that it doesn’t cover everything (tyres, irregular service items, parts that may have worn like brake pads).

Depends on how lucky you are.... Do you feel lucky ? :D

I'm on year 4 of my extended warranty and i'm probably about 1k up.

2x services at £185 is £370

Plus 2 MOTS                        £120

plus extended scope           £60

plus spark plugs                  £100

total                                      £650

Cost under plan £615

Losing approx £100 I would save by having services gone at indy specialist.

So effective cost of warranty  £65 ignoring the roadside repair as I have a policy via my insurance.

Probably adj for a copy of the warranty terms before deciding.

Well I bit the bullet and signed up for this today. I wasn't sure at £32 per month over 2 years but at £25.60 per month it certainly seemed better value.

I decided it was worth it for me as I wanted to keep up the full Skoda service history, require European breakdown and liked the idea of extending my warranty. All of this while been able to pay monthly suits me.

I had to book the car in for a while you wait eligibility check which took about an hour. They checked everything was in fully working order but once complete, I signed on the dotted line.

Only time will tell if I have made the right decision.
