VW Caddy Pickup Mk2 1.9D - Cab Fan OFF or FULL BLAST

Featured Replies

Very odd issue.

The in-cab fan is either off, or full blast #4 speed, regardless where the dial is. Fuse issue?

It was fine, and suddenly has reduced its functionality.

Usually a resistor (actually 3 in series)  that fails open circuit. Speed 4 bypasses the whole resistor thing, so is unaffected.

Not sure if I have any Caddy wiring info in order to check this theory, will have a look.

1.9D should have 3 speed fan and different resistor - 6U0959263A - are you sure you have 4 speed one?

You mean the fan speed control? If so, then it's behind the temperature knob.
