Michelin or Goodyear - Summer Tyres

Featured Replies

Is is still the Michelin's (SP4) that are considered the best of the tyres out there?

I'm in need of a couple of tyres, my fronts are getting close to the legal limit now and one of my rears has uneven worn. Of course I'll be getting Hunter Aligned once tyres have been replaced.

Current Costco Black Friday deals and I could get 4x Goodyear 225/35 ZR19 Eagle F1 SuperSport XL's fitted for £386.36

The same promotion on Michelin SP's would come in at around £150. Are the Michelin's worth £150 more?

Yes the Michelin PS4 is a very good UHP (ultra high performance) sporty summer tyre.

But it isn’t a tyre that will work well (and no performance summer tyres are designed for) cold rain, sleet, frost, slush, snow, or temperatures where salt is applied.

The Goodyear is also a good tyre, but I am confused why you want sporty summer tyres in November, just as temperatures have fallen, and with possible snow showers on Saturday.  If you want all year tyres then get all seasons.
