I'm new in this forum and also in skoda world.

RIght now I'm retrofiting LED matrix headlights to Octava IV, before there was just basic headlights. Now I have issue with 09 module. I unlock it with SFD token, but still some adaptation channels refuses to code (like high beam assistant or turn signals) always get error "-31 request out of range". Maybe someone did this retrofit already? Or someone has LED matrix lights and 09 module hw: 5WA 937 086 ?

Car has A5 module and I added 4B.

Can you share a bit more information, this was quite an interesting project.

I have just purchased the new octavis estate with basic led Headlights and want to upgrade to full matrix.  Any advice where I can get done please?

I want to change my tail lights to the higher spec. Right now I have those dumb half-lit tail lights.

Hi. Did you get any response to your question about the tail lights?  I have the same low functioning lights, they make the car look like a $20 whore.

Sorry. Only just seen this.  You're a long way from me in Yorkshire!  What would cost and timescale be?  I've been told by Skoda it can't be done!

We have customers regularly travelling from the extremes of the country 🚗

 

Skoda say this because they can't do it.

Dealers are extremely restricted in the scope of their work

I drive a lot at night and the standard lights aren't good enough, (especially when there are so many cars on the road with really powerful lights), so I need some help here. 

 

I got the Octavia IV with the normal LED headlights but upgraded rear lights with dynamic functions. (came like that from the factory) 

 

I want to upgrade the headlights with the LED Matrix ones.

 

I understand that some people have done it, so I guess it is possible.

 

How difficult is it? Could you please share some steps and what I need besides the new headlights?  

 

Also, if I just purchase them and connect them to the car, will they work, but with limited functions or not work at all? 

 

I'm not that bothered about the fancy dances and filling light around other cars on the road. I'm more interested in having more light on the road, which I think those projectors would produce. They also get a clean, sharp line from the top -down.  

 

But of course, the aim is to get them fully functional. 

 

Happy to have any remarks and advice.

It isn't as simple as just connecting them to the car

It's necessary to alter/add new wiring, and a new control module. There are also software changes

We can install and configure them to work as if they left the factory on the car.

Are you able to calibrate them?

Unfortunately not, that’s the only part we can’t do in house 

Finding somewhere to calibrate the lights may be a challenge. I could not find any Skoda dealers close to me that had the necessary equipment to carry out the work. VW dealers have more of the equipment, but cannot do it in isolation as the VW computer systems don't have the necessary license to calibrate a Skoda vehicle.

 

In the end my local Skoda dealer took the car to a VW dealer that are part of their group, along with their laptop, and carried out the calibration. This was a bit of a pain to get organised.

 

This was carried out under warranty, so I've no idea what the cost would be out of warranty.

 

And you really would need to get them calibrated. My matrix lights were pretty much unusable in full automatic mode before they were recalibrated. Drivers were constantly flashing me. They seem completely fine now.

I wouldn’t have bothered. My car came with them as standard. Cars constantly either flash me or put on their heads. They are horrendous.

Dealer only job? Car is only 11 months old, wonder why they have gone out of adjustment so soon.
