Wrinkled seats that have actually been fixed?

Featured Replies

After reading of several people who have had wrinkled seats on new vrs's go in to be sorted only to have covers replaced with ones that still show wrinkles I was wondering if anybody has actually had this problem 100% sorted?

If so, what was actually done to your car? Whole new rear seat(s)? Something done to foam?

Any info that I can go to the dealer with much appreciated.

My solution: Ordered Leather :D

Sticky Thread - Dunno if thats any help?

Visibly wrinkled seats obviously not as contentious an issue as an engine stutter then.

A little strange as I was under the impression that just about all the 06's had some form of wrinkling on the seats.

I'm looking for a fix that doesn't involve a dealer replacing the covers and saying that the wrinkles will fade over time

You have PM

Ok... so does this mean...

a)nobody actually does have wrinkly seats

b)nobody has had them fixed

c)nobody can be bothered to clarify either way

I've got them in my 06 vrs, and a stutter, and a squeak from an indeterminate part of the interior.

I'm going to give the car 3K miles to see if any of this sorts itself out, then it's off to the dealers with the warranty certificate in hand.

Yes I mentioned it when I picked the car up, and true to form, was told that they 'drop out' over time.

Have toyed with the idea of ironing them to see if that helps (synthetics / silk, not linen setting though)

Have discarded that idea, because I have realised that

a) the seats aren't flat anyway

B) my neighbours already think I'm odd

c) my wife will take the **** for the rest of my (or her) natural life.

The dealers seem to be barking up the wrong tree with the "it'll come out" line of thinking IMO. It would seem that the creases aren't actually due to the covers at all. I think it will be very hard to get them to sort it though!
