Dash board lit up like christmas tree

Featured Replies

I went to my Fabia vrs yesterday after some shopping and 5 warning lights lit up on the dash after starting.

One was the handbrake warning light accompnied by a beep(I know rear pads are a little worn)

Tried re-starting car but they were still on.Car was driving fine but the abs didn't work when I tried it on a quiet stretch of road.

As I was pulling on my drive the power steering stopped working.Left car 5 mins and everything was working fine except the engine management light is now lit.

Trouble is I can't get to dealer till saturday.

Probably all related to one fault. Hopefully there's some with vag com in or around sheffield who can do a scan for you. :)

On the Octy 1 you can clear the engine light by disconecting the battery for about 15 mins, if the fault reocurred the light would come back on again, not sure if this is any good on the Fabia, others more tecnically qualified can probably comment

Light has gone out by itself. A car that fixes itself-Brilliant

I think I remember Ross saying that 3 or 5 restarts would reset a fault code (if it was intermittent). Is the abs working again now? :D
