I'm new in here. Did not know there was such a thing as a Skoda forum before, but it sounds like a good idea..! I'm after some help. I'm a fairly recent driver, and I acquired my 1997 Skoda Felicia Bohemia 5 months ago. I like it a lot. However, I noticed yesterday that I can not open up the boot from the outside anymore. I've looked from the inside and can release the door from in there. The cable looks very loose to me but I have no idea how to tighten it, let alone replace it. Should I just pop in the Skoda dealership for them to fix it, or is it something someone with very little mechanical knowledge can do?

I have exactly the same problem

i can use the interior cable release to open the hatchback but the key does nothing when i turn the boot lock.

The problem is an L shaped white plastic piece attached to the back of the boot lock, the end snaps off, so the boot key will not open the hatch.

Easy to change, held on by 1 screw but maybe not so easy to get.

Still waiting for a felicia to turn up in a scrapyard nearby so i can replace it.

Check on ebay for a scrape Felicia.... theres always some on there, and im sure the seller would be happy to take the part off that you need for a price.
