GPS reporting software

Featured Replies

I have a few guys going out on a site investigation shortly (railway based). Ideally, I'd like to provide a PDA with CF-GPS receiver and a piece of software that will record the GPS co-ords at any given point, and allow the user to enter information about the location.

I'd like the interface to be quite tight and form-based, if possible, to stop information about the location being missed out.

The data would then need to be in a format to be fed back into Excel/Access, so a CSV output file would be good.

Does anyone know of anything suitable?

Thanks,

Steve

How many points would they be working on ? Simply writing down the GPS co-ordinates may be sufficient for half a dozen places.

Not gonna cut it I'm afraid, it could be half a dozen people, working on something like an 18 mile stretch of railway :D

I've no idea how many points there'll be, but it will be more than that. They'll be commenting on track condition etc etc.
