Mk3 Parking sensors

Featured Replies

I have only got rear parking sensors, but they appear to have a fault. Had the car about a week so not sure about the systems, last car was a lease so fully maintained,

When I select reverse, it beeps then long beeps before nothing after, Sometimes it will show on the screen the screen but then glitch out and stop,

Would this be as simple as a wiring issues with a connector or something more involved ?

Worth checking the connections. The ones in the rear bumper are easily accessible from under the car. The rear side ones (if you have them) mean taking the wheel liner out. A scan with OBD Eleven or VCDS will tell you which one is faulty but apparently, if you have good hearing, you can hear the working ones clicking away. If you need to replace, they are cheap enough on ebay and you could always buy one and keep swapping until the fault goes away if. But the diagnostics is worth buying for any future issues...
