Hi guys I had a 08 Superb deasel and had problems with the cat coking up so moved to a Toyota. I am now missing my superb and looking at a petrol sport line will I still get the same problem with the petrol cay.

So many things here to digest.

 

The cat wouldnt be blocking on the diesel, it would be the diesel particulate filter, these block up either through not enough extended driving or a fault somewhere. All newer diesels have a DPF filter. 

Regarding petrols they now fit GPF which is the petrol equivilant but this is brand new and only been on cars for a few years. They dont block up nearly as bad but again it all depends on if there are faults and how you drive the car.

Any superb up to 2019 is guaranteed not to have a GPF but even if it did have one, they dont block up except for a fault or user error 

No issues with mine, and I only recall it being mentioned on here once. In that case it was multiple journeys measured in yards not miles

Thak you sorry about my mechanical knowledge it was the DPF so I should be OK with the petrol car
