I have just got a 2019 Mk3 Octavia SE L DSG 1.5, with the Amundsen radio, and coming from a 2009 Mk2 I am still getting used to some of the bells and whistles.

 

I am liking some of the personalisation options, but am struggling with one thing in particular.  What I would like is that when my wife's profile is selected, it connects to her phone, but when my profile is selected, it connects to my phone.

I cannot seem to make this happen as the bluetooth pairings and selections don't seem to vary with the profile chosen?  If both phones are in the car it chooses to display the contacts etc from the previous one it was connected to even though the driver and profile has changed.  When I went into the select phone options, both phones were selected and I could not unselect one.

 

Would be grateful for any advice.

If you're both in the car and your phone is the connected one, if your wife gets a call it will automatically come through on the hands free. If you want to swap manually, use the "rotating phones symbol" on the infotainment screen. 

OK, thanks for the info.  I think that where it has a choice it connects to whichever it was connected to previously.

 

I am also finding that sometimes it doesn't seem to want to automatically pick up the connection when it should
