Clutch Vibration

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Currently encountering an issue where every time I accelerate in 2nd/3rd, there’s a loud vibrating noise and the clutch pedal tends to shake. So just thinking what problems could cause this kind of issue? I’m new to diagnosing problems but want to learn this kind of thing myself, so any help would be appreciated!

The issue means I don’t feel comfortable accelerating and it’s highly annoying because it’s becoming increasingly worse. Happens when engine is warm too…

Hello, could be your dual mass flywheel be about to fail? Unfortunately they don`t last long, going from working okay to failure within a couple of days. How many miles has your Octavia done and is it petrol or diesel?

It’s on about 67k now, seems to have a lot of problems lately. Yeah its currently going in to have the ECU checked because it currently doesn’t run.

I guessed it had something to do with that, but I wonder if warranty will cover it if it’s still working?
