Good morning all,

 

before I go to a skoda service with my one month old car (ordered in january 2021 and delivered in january 2022), I'm thinking to ask my question here too.

 

the car is Skoda Octavia iv, 1.5 TSI mild hybrid. (it has a battery or something under the passenger seat)

 

now, from the first moment I took it from the showroom with 17 km on board every time the engine is running I hear a constant beeping noise - like when a device battery is running out and the device starts beeping (eg smoke detector or something). the noise has the same pitch no matter what driving mode I use or how slow or fast etc. it's just something in the background no matter what and not related to how long I drive, 5 minutes or 5 hours. the noise it's just there always.

I cannot figure out where it is coming from though. if it's from the battery or dashboard or whatever in the back of the car.

 

anybody else with similar issue? any advice?

Update: I was driving with a guy from Skoda assistance, he said it sounds like a device against the rodent but it is not a regular sound and is completely random and hard to replicate. he said that it is nothing serious but I should record it before going to service and claim some inspection.

anyway, meanwhile, maybe I will get some opinions here.
