I note that my insurance policy requires a tracker . I have no idea whether my second hand  2015 Skoda Fabia has one . Are they fitted automatically and how can I check please? 

Very unlikely that it'll have a tracker on a UK spec Fabia

Trackers are normally fitted to expensive cars in high demand so they can be recovered if stolen. It seems unusual for an insurance company to demand one for a 2015 Fabia unless you live in a very high risk area. Are you confusing it with an insurance 'black box' that monitors your driving habits and can give you lower premiums if you are seen to drive sensibly and be a good risk?

Is there not something lost in translation someplace and it is a policy that requires a Black Box to get lower cost insurance?

 

The car has an Immobiliser as standard.

This is often something that call handlers seem to get all bothered about when trying to get quotes and people have not a clue about vehicles or spec.

Thanks for your advice . I checked the wording on the policy and it was ambiguous so I phoned the company ( LV). I only require the tracker if specified in the ‘ personal details ‘ of the policy and mine did not specify it so am covered . Many thanks .
