Front grille issues on replacement

Featured Replies

Hi im wondering if anyone can shed any light on my issue.

I have a mk3 skoda octavia vrs .. and my vrs badge for the front grille has broken off however there is a plate fastened behind the vrs emblem which thathas also broke away from the grille.

After looking everywhere i cannot find a grille with this little plate attached to it all the ones that are available dont have the vrs badge on it they are just plain black grilles.

So could anyone explain is this meant to have the plate on or  has some one stuck this plate to the car ?

I also purchsed the replacement vrs badges off of ebay in the hope of being a quick fix however when it arrived, one the screws wernt long enough to.go through the grille ans two the screws were completely in the wrong place i would have had to drille the grille.

All in all it hasnt gone well , any help is appreciated

My old fabia vrs came with no vrs badge on the grille when I bought it. .

I bought a vrs badge that came with a backing plate (genuine item) . .I used araldite to fasten that to the grille then the badge stuck to the backing plate . . Still on there now 11 years later.

Have you tried www.kopacek.com for a badge? . .
