Any companies that refurbish shocks?

Featured Replies

Considering the value of the shocks, especially the DCC ones, does anyone know any companies in the UK that refurbish them?

I know that Gaz Shocks do this, but you'd need to contact them for a turnaround and cost.

Refurbishing shocks is not a cheap thing and generally only reserved for 1 off's or specialist items.

Passenger car shocks, including DCC shocks are normally cheaper to buy new than get repaired.

We send a few sets of shocks for refurb on some of our cars but thats because they are specialist and made only for these cars and the shocks cost in the 10's of thousands

It’s also not very practical for most people, as waiting days or weeks with the car parked, jacked up whilst they are sent off, done and returned is not much use if need to use the car.

I do have a spare car I can use in the interim. The best people the refurb shocks ( so I have heard are in Poland) unfortunately due to brexit we now have to pay silly custom charges of like 125 euros. per package. The cost of actual refurb is 145 per shock considering that the shock itself (DCC) costs in the region of £300 for bilstein and £350 for oem, seems like a bargain.
