engine undertray part number

Featured Replies

I have a yeti with a 13 plate ,bought last year and had it in for it's first service in my ownership yesterday. Being a bit of an antique I have to own up to never having looked underneath the car (takes far too long to get back up) and I am told there is no engine undertray fitted. Can anyone give me the part number for this please. The car is  a 1968cc diesel automatic 4 x 4. There appears to be different undertrays for petrol or diesel so I want to get the right one, but not from my main dealer. Does it being a 4x4 automatic make it any different to the undertray from a manual or a manual/4 x 4?

Not really an issue; the main function of the undertray on a a diesel of this vintage was to reduce drive-by noise for the type certification. As the car is now registered you don't actually need one.

I hit a flooded corner on a country lane at around 30mph and the front wheels became rudders luckily

the undertray aquaplaned the car enough to help me across the water until the front wheels gripped.

I will always fit a tray.
