Fabia mk3 tyres

Featured Replies

Hi

can anyone recommend which brand of tyres to replace the ones that came on the car from new. Currently have Nexan tyres factory fitted however they don't seem to stock these anywhere.

any suggestions

@DR79Maybe an idea to say what size of tyres you have from new.

Do you just want Summer tyres for your car?

If you're on 185/60R15, then these are good for all year round use, including mild snow but especially good in cold rain.

Vredestein Quatrac 185/60R15 88H XL

My Fabia III came with 185 60 15 H Nexen from new. Did 27 K miles.

I then ran a pair of Continental Premium Contacts. Did 30K miles.

I then got a Nexen to match up with the full size spare. Did 27k miles.

I now have a pair of Dunlop Sport BluResponce with A Wet Grip, B Rolling Resistance and 67 Db Noise Rating. Done 5K Miles so far.

The Dunlop's are the best for me especially in the wet.

I will eventually run these all round.

I don't run winters on this car.

Car now at 62K miles.

I run Vredestein Quatrac 5 on my Citigo as my winter tyres down south in Dorset.

I run Continental Ecocontacts during the summer. Front two did 32K miles. These were fitted from new.

Both good for me. Car now at 36K miles.

Most peoples favourites for all year use in UK climate seem to be, one of following (some sizes not available in all 3, and prices vary by size)

Michelin cross climate 2

Vredestein Quatrac

Hankook kinergy 4S2

Although cars from factory come with summer tyres, these are not really optimised for all year use, and most people are better changing to all season tyres if they want same tyres all year, that work in all weathers.
