Infotainment Traffic Sign Assistant

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I was searching in the forum but I can't find a download for the infotainment update.

I am particularly interested in enabling Traffic Sign Assistent in my Superb if possible.

There is the front camera, the speed limits are shown in the navigation, but the dashboard traffic sign info is not enabled.

Is there any option enabling it?

Have you got any update from 2017 infotainment to a more up-to-date one?

I will be very happy for any info from you.

Cheers,

Matt

Its a bit confusing but the 2 systems are not linked and completely independent.

The navigation will give speed limits based on GPS and map references.

For the dashboard to display traffic signs you will need the A5 'triangle' windscreen camera and it will need to be enabled, not with an update but with VCDS or ODIS or similar software.

The dashboard display is done by the camera, the navigation is done by GPS.

Regarding map updates - this can be done for free on the skoda website by entering your VIN and downloading the file to a suitable SD card.

Thanks a lot for this info, mate.

Makes sense the speed limits are fixed in the maps separately. I'm about to update once I get a suitable SD card - mine hasn't got enough of capacity as the maps are about 26GB. That covers whole Europe, fair enough.

And happy days, I've got the A5 cam. Need to find out somebody doing this coding around my area.

I found out some interesting functions can be enabled too, such as refuel quantity info. There is plenty of options, nice to know.
