Post Accident Photos + quote to repair

Looking for help with if the engineers value of my car is correct

The engineer has advised that they consider the pre accident value of your vehicle to be £8,436.00 with a salvage reserve of £1,602.84.

This is my car in pre accident condition from the dealer, as i only owned the car a month before the accident,

Any advice is appreciated,

I have to either keep the car or sell it as salvage through Conexus hire solutions

If anyone can check the spec of options id be appreciative.

Who is the Engineer working for?  I do not mean the Insurance Company but who is his employers. 

 

What did you pay for it and can you find another at that price or less?

 

If that is a Write off then i would be wanting to be able to buy it back.

The person who assessed the car was working for sycamore BMW body shop in glinton Peterborough. I had a second opinion and it would cost 6k with a independent well respected body shop, I paid 9k for it in January

 

 

I have the option to keep it and get paid 

You can choose to retain the salvage and you will receive £6,833.16.

At least it was a VW Group Approved body shop  and the BMW bit does not matter.

Yes its a skoda approved bodyshop 

Yes, I was rear ended approaching a roundabout, i have a hire car, + whiplash claim in place. I had to pay out of pocket for 2 weeks of taxis and buses before a hire car was sourced, had a hire car for 2weeks atm.

They know how to get the cost up & the Extras / specialist costs are interesting.

 

You must have one crap insurer that never got you are hire car, but then the cost of hire / courtesy cars is what has lead to cars being written off and ridiculous Insurance Work quotes / estimates. 

I used skoda ensurance to claim via a third party, my insurance got a notification of crash and no claim.

 

I honestly have no idea what im doing
