I need to replace the rear wiper on my vRS estate.

The current one is 14 inches long, but when I looked in Halfords the suggested replacements (both own brand and Bosch) were either 16 inches (would be too big) or 13 inches

Seems odd that there isn't a direct match. 

Has anyone else faced this recently? Did you just put up with the decrease in swept area? 

Yes I needed one recently, bought Bosch A331H via Amazon - £7, fits perfectly on vRS estate. Much longer than 13" and it would foul the rear spoiler.

I guess what's important is the distance from the clip to the free end, rather than the overall length of the blade

My rear wiper has dragged almost from day one. Looking at the rubber blade it is still soft and bendy, it seems there just isn't enough spring force holding it against the glass.
