Changing from H4 reflector headlights to Single-H7 projector headlights

Featured Replies

So, I have a 2007 Mk2 Fabia (pre-FL obviously) and i want to change the headlights to the single H7 ones.

I tried just fitting them, but the high beam won't work, since the H4 low beam filaments turn off, and the H7's single filament is hooked up to that wire.

The shutter works, so the "covering panel" thingy goes down, as it should, but the lights turn off. I also have VCDS, but  couldn't find anything of this sort.

Anybody had the same issue, or ever tried doing this conversion, or just know the solution?

Thanks,

T

Why would you want to? The H4 twin element bulbs give you better range and spread.

Yes, I am aware of that. However my dad had a roomster with the same spec headlights, and I think they are quite enough at night. I just like the look of the projector headlights so much more.

Just a thought but if your dads rooster has the set-up you wanted, can you follow their wiring etc to see f its the same aa yours?

Would be ideal, but sadly my dad sold his 5 years ago, so that’s not really possible :D
