Got a Felicia

Featured Replies

put a deposit on a 19981.6 glxi estate today with 42k on the clock was wondering when would the timing belt need to be changed it has got a service history in the book.

have a feel about and check the condition, plus visual etc. The amount of miles for a rubber item not always a rule of thumb. If its chaffing around the edge i'd be getting it replaced.

That or as the other post here :'( too late "hello mr scrappy" shame cars in UK have no value!

My felicia has gone UP in value thanx to the effing €uro! bought in 2000 for 26,000ff (2,600£). Now it would cost 5000€ to replace (3,500£)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! total rip off here. A car 3yrs old can be only a couple of thousand cheaper than new.

So I like to ensure my two are well looked at/after. If only I cant afford to replace them here :(

Id change the belt every 60k at the most. But they are quite simple to do so you might aswell get ne done for piece of mind. If I can be of assistance let me know.

:) I agree with Lummox, change it now...also make sure the tensioner and water pump are in good order at the same time.
