4x4 rear diff

Featured Replies

Hi took a 2013 4x4 for test drive today, very nice driving car. I  noticed the rear diff catching slightly when turning sharply so I  took it into a car park and put the full cut on and after a couple of times driving in a sharp circle it stopped, would the diff be fooked ?

@J.R. or others will be along hopefully with experience of the diffs.

?

How many miles has it done.

Then,

What about the Haldex Servicing?

Was that done in 2016 or 2017 & 2020 or at 30,000 & 60,000 miles.

Thanks for the help. I'm sorry but I'm not very computer literate

@nuala

Lots of miles and lots of servicing should have been done.

The rear diff could very well have wear.

It would hopefully have had an oil change sometime.

?

What sort of service and maintenance record has the car got?

All stamped up until 132000 miles

Stamped up as Minor & Major services do you mean?

What record is there of servicing over and above oil & filter changes.

Like the water pump, brake fluid changes, haldex servicing, is there 'ticks' for those things?

I'll have another look but it seemed that most of the boxes were ticked
