I can't express enough my confusion, shock and then horror when opening my box of bolt's from Febi Bilstein.

 

I got a whole bunch of parts from AutoDoc some of which were 4x Brake Calliper Bolt's, 3x bolt's where exactly as expected, one of the bolts however looked very different!

 

At first I thought it had a built in anti-roll washer, I figured as I ordered 4x perhaps one is supposed to be different and that AutoDoc recognised my mistake and sent me the correct part? Bit odd but ok..

 

On closer inspection I realised this was definitely not an anti-roll feature, instead it's the most misshapen warped piece of **** I have ever seen!!

 

So many questions;

- How did this get past quality control?

- The bolts are MOLDED! Even the thread 😨

- Should I replace them all?

- It looks like the Suspension Strut bolt's are also molded Should I replace them aswell? (I have just finished putting the driver side back together 😒)

Not the best made fastener I've ever seen!

There's a seller on ebay with username vagbolts who does a lot of common ones, new genuine, for reasonable money and dispatches rapidly.

I avoid buying from the Berlin based websites because it's always going to be more grief if stuff needs to be returned.

 

A case of pesky nanites getting into the parts replicator or perhaps some sort of transporter malfunction.

 

Maybe it's from the Philadelphia Experiment.

Yeah I'm definitely feeling the Berlin grief, "luckily" I paid for safe send as I need to send back a few bits that are either damaged or something completely different from what i ordered and that's a two way five week mistake 😬
