1.5 tsi petrol filter location

Featured Replies

Hi all

After doing a search on here (and on Google in general), I couldn't find any guidance on how to change the fuel filter on my 2018 Octavia 1.5 tsi.

I did look under the car, but there is no sign of filter near the petrol tank. I also tried to follow the fuel lines towards the front, but still no luck.

Does anyone know where the petrol filter is on this version of Octavia?

The other thing I couldn't find anywhere is the servicing schedule. Does anyone have this by any chance?

Thanks for your time.

It'll be combined with the in-tank fuel pump and non-replaceable separately, I expect. VAG seem to have adopted this design lately.

Petrol is pretty clean in most markets, so 100k+ miles on a fuel filter no problem at all. They don't care what happens after that, it probably won't be their bill.

Servicing sched you can probably find via erWin Skoda, for a small fee.

Thank you, Pete.

I did make an enquiry with a local garage and was quoted around £40.

This is a bit on the low side if they need to get inside the fuel tank to replace it.

I guess I'll have to wait and see how this will turn out.

I was thinking of adding a fuel filter to my 1.5 tsi in a Skoda Karoq, simply insert it somewhere between the low pressure pump pipe and the front of the engine, measure the pipe diameter, buy 2 adapters, drain the fuel so it flows out of the pipe and blow it out with a compressor so that it doesn't catch fire when heated with a hairdryer. All of this is universal. filter, fittings, pipes..
