Drive Modes and Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Hi, had a search and couldn’t find an answer to this so apologies if I am repeating.

Just bought a 2018 Karoq, 1.0 tech. Auto.

Regular drive mode is all fine. Give the auto stick a nudge down and it changes to sport, which has a pleasing difference.

I don’t believe my model has a mode button, so there’s no eco or comfort etc.

Except that is for when I go into the driver assist settings via the infotainment system. Here in the ACC settings are, normal, sport, eco and comfort.

I presume these only relate to cruise control. So making any adjustment will have no effect on regular driving?

thanks!

If its in the ACC menu then I suspect it only affects the acceleration when the cruise control regains your set speed. I'm surprised to see a Comfort setting though, as in my car (with the optional Dynamic Chassis Control) Comfort mode alters the damper settings rather than the engine.

Thanks for the reply Chris. I think you’re probably correct, must only apply to the AAC.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the available options.

thanks!
