Skoda Kamiq Front Grill

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I’ve had a good look through the posts on here and have gained some knowledge. But apologies if this post should be else where.
My 2 month old Kamiq SE Drive has a cracked front grill ( The family moustache as we call it) no idea how this came about and no I not had any collisions. Dealer has quoted me around £360 supplied and fitted which I see from other posts is about par. I have located the part on Skoda Parts but there are 2 versions listed. Only difference being the letter “A”. Any ideas what this might mean?

I also understand it’s not a straight forward removal? I’ve taken clips and torque screws out of the covers at the top but it seems well held at the bottom. So is it held by the radiator?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have the radar cut out in your grill?

If the radar is located behind the black panel in the grill at the top centre? Then yes.

You have to disassemble all the bumper including the headlights then you have to remove the bottom cover of the engine to replace the grille. The radar has only 2 screws and a connecter is easy to remove. The code of the grille is 658853653 ZD4 while the radar code is 658853655 9B9 (original spare parts for a Skoda Kamiq Montecarlo of 2021

Hi all,
I was driving not to fast, when a pheasant got in the way, and ended his life destroying part of the front grill of my leased Skoda Kamiq.

I was initially thinking about getting a second-hand part, but how easy is to replace the grill?

Will it be better to go for the insurance?

Thank you
