Am I right in thinking this only applies to LHD models?

 

M y friends 2014 golf has the speed displayed digitally in the centre display. very useful.

Possible to have large digital display as shown  by using VCDS, Carista or OBD11.

    That's absolutely the mutts nuts!

     

    Can you recommend any free/low cost software that will allow this assuming I buy an OBD11 cable? 

    Mine in the picture above and I did it in 5 minutes with Carista OBDII.

    The carista app says compatible with "Yeti 1st Gen" - mine is a 2014 plate built 2013 with facelift. Is this still a 1st gen vehicle?

    Yes, mine is a 2015 car and it did that OK.
