Keyless faulty

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone,
last week I bought a skoda superb 2016 1.8 and when I was looking at the car before buying I have noticed a problem that lighted up on the screen and it said “keyless faulty” the seller of the car told me that it’s okay and I just need to replace the battery of the key so did I in the first day.. I went to a shop and replaced the battery instantly because it annoyed me all the way because it lights up every 5-10 minutes, also there’s another problem that I noticed that the driving side speakers do not work at all and also the other front side bass speaker also doesn’t work.
So I searched in different forums and on YouTube and I only seen one similar problem and someone said that it’s something to do with the kessy antenna and it’s in the door handle so I removed the driver door and looked up the cables and I noticed one torn cable and I don’t know what is that thing I will show here pictures of this and of the kessy problem please if someone ever experienced something similar or know someone that had this problem please contact me I really need your help with this.
Also I have a relative that has a garage and he connected it to the computer and it showed the problem I will also add photo of the error with its properties.
thanks for everyone hope you will have a nice day!

The thing in the middle of your picture is called an “LED unit bracket”, something to do with the lighting strips in the door. Not sure what the other thing is. Generally, when several things in a  door stop working, (in your case, Kessy and speakers) it is often due to fracturing of the wires between the door and the chassis, near the hinges, due to the flexing every time the door is opened or closed. So I would have a close look inside the plastic tubing that protects the wires at the hinge. And of course repair the wire you already found has broken.

So now you’ve repaired the wire has the fault fixed itself? Also have you got a photo of what these broken wires are you’re talking about?

also, why would you buy a car with a clear fault, if the dealer thinks it’s just a key battery, surely they would put a key battery in it for the sake of 50p. Sounds more like they are covering issues up.

I also hope your front assist is only unavailable due to the tpms warning, if not, could be a expensive fix.

I guessed it was a private sale.
