Octavia CR Diesel vrs...possible injectors.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Last week my car died on me whilst driving just before it died it was juddering. No codes come up and car wouldn't start.

Got recovered to a local garage they rang me to say it started first time and is running sweet.

They've manage to get a code up and it's looking possible it's a faulty injector. Does anyone know what kind of price I'm looking at.  Many thanks.

Might be a good idea to post your partial VIN number, as you will have a 1U or a 1Z chassis.

Next is engine code off your V5, CBBB for example or 3 characters.

Could then locate a price for a single injector.

Dealer price for injector, £800-£960 for one (should have all the washers in theory)

Mad money, here is a quick random part I chucked into google, and seems to be a fairly cheap UK source (though more extensive googling might yield more fruit, chucking your registration into EuroCarParts)

Under £300 for comparison.

Need to either find the part off existing injector, or need VIN/Engine code.

Labour wise, not sure 1 to 1.5hrs estimate with coding???

I doubt a faulty injector would be a show stopper, more likely it's a wiring fault, probably temperature influenced.
