Correct Skid plate part number for SKODA Fabia III Hatchback (NJ3) 1.4 TDI Diesel 90 hp / 66 kW

Featured Replies

Hello gang

I recently purchased a used Fabia III Hatchback (NJ3) 1.4 TDI Diesel 90 hp / 66 kW from a not-so-kind-to-the-car owner and noticed that there is no skid plate installed beneath the engine. I did some research online and found numerous different ones but I can't figure out which is the right one so your help is greatly appreciated. The ones I found using part number 6r0825235e are the following:

Nr. 1 - https://www.economycarparts.gr/images/uploads/025300825-A.jpg

Nr. 2 - https://www.economycarparts.gr/images/uploads/025300835-A.jpg

Nr. 3 - https://cdn.autoteiledirekt.de/thumb?id=7128791&m=0&n=0&lng=gr&rev=94077830

Nr. 4 - https://www.partsbit.de/sites/default/files/styles/588x457/public/carpartsphoto/hbuchner/178507/61102501106851160.jpg (yipes!)

...and a bunch more here:

So as you can tell, I am a little bit lost as to which of the above is the right one so any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks in advance

Anyone?

Well I don't think its Number 4. All the others look to be the same and of the kind I've seen fitted to Fabias and Roomsters since the Mk I...

It is possible the car wasn't fitted with it to begin with. Have a look underneath and check to see if any of the speed nut fittings the screws fix into are there. If there's even one then the panel has been ripped off/gotten rid of. If there is none there, you'll need the full fitting kit too.

If the panel has been ripped off, you'd also need to check the condition of the bottoms of the wheel arch liners where the speed nuts clip on. Getting the panel will be pointless if there's nothing to fix it to!

Hope this helps.
