Power Steering Suddenly Feels Light

Featured Replies

Bit of a weird one for you all and I'm pretty lost over it.

I set the steering in my 2012 Monte to the "sporty" (their words) setting on vcds a while ago. Combined with that, bigger brakes and castor increase bushes meant the steering felt much heavier and gave a lot more feel than what it was like standard.

However, for some reason the steering seems to have turned itself back to one of the lighter settings, the steering is much lighter and there isn't as much feedback from the wheel. It seems to handle about the same as before, just the steering is now incredibly light.

I check vcds and it is still claiming to be on the setting I set it to, changed it to a couple of different settings and no difference.

I realise this is the kind of stupid problem that only I could have, but I'd appreciate any guidance of what I should do next.

Should add, I noticed this 2 days ago, no obvious extra noises to indicate something is about to fall off either.
