2021 fabia infotainment volume won't go higher then half way

Featured Replies

Just got my fabia monte carlo 2021 from a 2018 model, the volume on the infotainment will only go halfway, even wen on maximum tried every setting still no good can anybody help,no where near as loud as my 2018 model monte

Do you still get such a thing as Operating Instructions booklet (PDF?) or is it all videos, have look and see if there some setting to reduce or limit volume.  Or some sort of volume compensator for road/background noise/speed(?) I'm sure such stuff has been on other marques going back a few years, or it might be another of my false memories or visits to Fantasy Island.

What name is your Infotainment, I've seen on here others, not with 2021 Fabia though, put the 'radio' seem poorer quality, perhaps to do with Covid and/or the chip shortages (which'll be nothing if China blocks Taiwan as it makes loads of chips).

A think skoda has restricted the volume on the newer model fabia,my infotainment device is the one with 3 buttons either side of head unit my 2018 model was the one with four buttons either side,a luv my music loud, skoda audi vw,has allways had good sound systems,,the volume bar on dash at halfway or at maximum there's no diffrence in volume must be away around this.very disappointed

That sounds odd to me, why bother having the bar go above the maximum setting.  Again what does the Owner's Manual tell you, or ask at the Dealership or where you got the car from, or ask on a different thread or part of this site that specialises in such stuff, there are those on here that will know but sorry it's not me.

What I can tell from being a previous home  hi-fi nut is that playing your music too loud for too often might give you tinnitus.  Which can be very annoying at the least, that I do know.

Good luck.

All ready got tinnitus off years of clay pigeon shooting.the volume is no where near as good that was in my 2018,fabia,think a will just have to put up with it,defo think skoda has tweaked the infotainment for EU regulations, thanks for your help

The bar doesn't go above maximum wot am saying is the bar half way or on maximum there no diffrence in volume,no louder,,

Yes I follow, what I meant is what's the point of showing the bar at above halfway when maximum 'volume' is at halfway unless it is to show that the 'volume' has been limited to halfway.

Perhaps this is a software error or amendment, you might be better asking on the threads in this section about the infotainment software or asking in the other sections on this site you think appropriate.

Have you checked the Operating Manual, asked the selling garage as a 2021 car is probably still under warranty or some goodwill of giving info, have you got drug dealer type tinting on your rear windows, sorry but that's me out of ideas.

Did you check the Operating Manual for that or ask the lending garage, I can only lead you to the water I can't force you to take drink, I don't know so only making suggestions. 🙂

Perhaps someone will be along that knows later.

Alright, have you got tinting on your rear windows thick enough to hide a celebrity clay pigeon shooter from unwanted public or paparazzi gaze - I was joking and only thinking of radio reception really.  🙃

Clown,

There are several threads on here for the same issue over the year's.

No solutions other than increasing the bass/mid/treble as much as possible, or even artificially boosting the source (MP3 for example)

None of which are good solutions to the problem though.

Sorry I couldn't help further, it's just how some units are.

So some head units differ from others, might try and fit the old infotainment unit in,with the 4 buttons either side instead of the newer one like mine with 3 on either side, earlier ones defo  pack a bit more watts power,,

Think av found the problem, can't get surround sound or subwoofer on my settings think it mite need a soft where update,,not letting me click the boxes,

On mine, surround and subwoofer only work with the source being from a phone or an SD card.

Thanks, AG Falco

OK thanks for that info, try that tomo, poor sound quality in the fabias over 2020,models rubbish

Found the problem can't activate the surround sound and subwoofer for my radio, only activate for it my Bluetooth, don't think a can go in settings mite need a soft where update at dealers, the diffrence in music with the surround sound and subwoofer on is massive

Are you sure you're not clowning around with the infotainment. 😉

You either think I'm a stuck record or see a theme in what I'm suggesting.

When all else fails RtFM.  😉

Nta16 is the clown don't reply anymore,,

@cussy more than just you views this thread so if you want I'll certainly not reply to you any more, I was trying to help you with the limited information you gave but if you can't accept it or don't want it fine, no problem.

if you didn't like my humour that's fair enough, I didn't mind your mild bit of name calling, I wish you the best and hope you get your volume issue sorted.

Bit of a long shot. But did you ever manage to get your volume boosted to a better level?
