Hi Everyone,

 

My Columbus is dying on me and i am desperately trying to replace it with a suitable Android headunit. My car comes with the stock amplifier and 12 speaker system. I have tried with 2 different sets of Android Head Unit. However, with both sets, there was no sound coming out of the speakers after i installed the Android Head Unit.

 

Would like to ask if anyone had any luck installing an Android Head unit into an Mk2 Octavia with the 12 speaker system? If yes, would appreciate if you can share the link to the actual product and any special installation process to get it to work.

Hi,

 

Just did an head unit replacement with my friend to his Octavia II. You would need an CAN bus adapter which plugs into the ISO adapter harness, otherwise the amplifier won't turn on.

Hi buddy, thanks for your reply.

 

My android head unit comes with a canbus adapter. Finally found the answer in another post. After disconnecting the battery and installing the headunit, the system works now!
