Cold heater

Featured Replies

My 2017 TDi heater is suddenly blowing cold even at normal engine temperature. Oddly the passenger vents are delivering slightly warm air (nowhere near hot) while driver's side are stone cold. Advice gratefully received. Thanks

Mine 2016 TDI L&K is exactly the same, I have been told its the heater matrix, anybody idea of costs?

I saw £193 for the matrix alone mentioned on Facebook

What colour is your coolant? Has it gone a bit muddy? There is a well documented issue where the silica bag in the header tank bursts and it's contents pollute the cooling system blocking any fine tubes etc especially the heater matrix. Look for "mit silikat" printed on the header tank. Smaller petrol engines do not have this.

[EDIT] Found the Briskoda link:-
