Quick update.

Collected my car earlier, they did it a day earlier due to wanting to finish a bit earlier tomorrow.

All working perfectly although we are now having Pot Noodle and Highland Spring Christmas day now.

On the plus side I can now feel the wind and rain on my bald head whilst driving.

Lesson learnt.

I've done the same thing on my my MK2 Octavia Hatchback... Both front windows scraped clear of frost leaving the work at the back of 8pm when it was -5 but by the time I'd got to roundabout 10 minutes up the road I couldn't see a thing out either ... Passenger side went down no issues and drivers side went bang like a bloody gun going off

I feel for you mate.

The genuine part is expensive but worth it for quality and longevity.

I would highly recommend getting a pro to do it as they are hellish to fit.

My mechanic was very kind to me and only charged me two hours labour although I knew it was longer.
