@t13nyr. Further to the other thread on engine oil changes.   Your DSG needs an oil change every 40,000 miles.  So it should have been done twice by now and will be due at 120,000 miles.  About £200, depending were you go.  Maybe £220 at a main dealer.

Taxi drivers should know who is who for finding a trusted mechanic.

You have a DQ250 DSG.

How do I determine which gearbox my car has?  The car is a 2018 Superb Technology TDI S-A 1968 cc.  7 speed dsg and diesel. I can't find any information about this in the paperwork.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

  • Visit a dealer and ask for a printout of your build sheets (PR Codes)
  • Webchat to Skoda UK and they should send you a nice list
  • eBay someone is selling list for about 3 Euro
  • erWin Skoda, you can pay 7 Euro for 1hr access and get your build codes and all wiring diagrams/maintenance and repair manuals downloaded

7 speed Wet clutch DSG in the UK fitted to a 2 l TDI or TSI and it will be a DQ381.    It can not be a DQ200. The other 7 speed DSG.
