Thanks but I don't have usb connector in the rearview mirror housing.

That's why I ask to know what fuse can be sued for ACC connection.

Are I see I thought all the newer ones had a USB"C" in the housing but if not  you will

have fine the fuse position for the Accessory position.

To do this get a multi meter and find a position that goes live with Ign on and goes off

when you turn the key off (but don't forget that there is a delay when you switch off)

I would use a one of the piggy back connectors so it can be fused, but there will be a

two position fuse (one will be live all the time and one with the IGN)

Don't use the permanently live position

PS I just remembered Don't just wire the feed from the fuse directly into the dashcam

the voltage out will be 12 and the camera uses 5  volts

Does the USB port on the interior rearview mirror have constant power even when the car is turned off and locked?

No. On my 71 plate it is switched with the ignition. I have a dashcam using it.

I've been considering the Miofive dashcam. Not sure whether to get just the front cam or the rear as well. The rear comes with a 6m long cable that plugs into the front cam, but how would I route it?

I wonder would the mirror USB be enough to power both?

It should be easy enough to route through the roof or floor trim. I installed a reverse camera on my previous mkIII and it was pretty easy to route the cables from the dash through the trim along the bottom with the right tools, get yourself a cable/wire puller thingy which makes it so much easier.

I'm not sure how you would go about doing that.

Hi, my mirror USB powers a cam which is connected to the rear associated cam (not independent), it works (no parking mode).

I wondered also to route the rear cable under the floor trim, but seemed too complicated for me. BramptonTrev (post 9 Octiber) dit it here on Skoda Karoq : https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/525966-rear-dash-cam-cable-through-headlining-centre-line/
