Washer motor not running

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I can’t find the answer to this so please be nice as it’s my first post.

cold spell recently and my windscreen washer gave up front and back, the motor doesn’t run. I assumed I had killed it with the frozen temperature.

No, it’s a bit more complicated than that, I’ve run power to it directly it works, but not as past of the system. I’ve cleaned the contacts on the stalk but no luck.! The wipers work as they should except the yet of water.

Can anyone shed any light on this or would you have a wiring diagram??

Thanks in advance

Have you checked cabin fuse #22?

Top right corner, 7.5A rated, I think.

Oh, I'm mildly surprised. I fixed a Golf with same problem yesterday by changing the equivalent fuse, which by coincidence was top right, after I started checking them from bottom left... 😆

Did u find problem yet I have same thing I changed stalk to no avail? This is my mechanic showing wiring diagram traced back to ring around steering wheel???

I have a Skoda Rapid 2015 UK. I spent some time finding the issue. After changing tea pump, it didn't run. So I assumed that it doesn't get any power. The fuse diagram from the car manual is useless. After hours of tempering I found the fuse that was blown.

I hope it will help someone.
