fabia symphony 402 cd upgrade

Featured Replies

Just been to halfords for the wife's fabia with standard symphony 402 radio/casettse.

Wanted the quickest & cheapest cd upgrade retaining the radio and casette. probably using cd 6x

Halfords tell me that the 402 unit will drive a sony cdx-t69, just plugs straight in. ?

doh surely this is wrong.

can anyone clarify, before halfords try to fit it and I find it don't work.

Any pointers welcome to products sites etc.

Seems possible. See here for a suitable product. Google wins again!!

Or here for a complete package...

Other retailers are available ...... :D

Cheers, this is probably the adapter bit he scribbled on the paper he gave me, I can read the price bit which matches but not the description.

Looks like a possibility then.

Sorry to hijack, but as my single disc Kenwood CD player skips a bit, I was also wondering about the logistics of me fitting a Kenwood 6 disc changer in the boot - It would sit quite happily next to the amp or sub I reckon. Any of these good?

Kenwood Changers

As I have a Kenwood HU already, I think it would be easy to fit one - I reckon it has an adaptor to fit a disc changer lead to.

-sorry for the hijack again - I should have started a new thread...

Another quality quotation from Halfords, then? :D

Yup, indeed looks possible. Good luck!

Okay following suggestions bought the sony cd changer and interface unit.

Only to find this will never work in a 402 hu as it has no mode or src button to select the cd.

so the advertising info on these websites is wrong,

confirmed this with skoda uk tech, a skoda dealer and the supplier and advertiser of the info.

so a big thumbs down to http://www.connects2.com/
