from 230km/h to 120km/h

Featured Replies

i was today drving 230 km/h and my engine didnt pull anymore and i could go just 120km/h.

i turnd off engine started again and everything was ok,

but why did the engine used emergenci mode?

??

thanks

Probably went into limp mode from the amount of throttle being applied. I assume you had it foot to the floor for over 1 minute to creep up to 230km/h? I know to reach 140mph in mine takes some patience with the foot to the floor.

I think its overboost or something else which triggers the limp mode. Kills the turbo to preserve the engine.

Worth getting old of a VAG-COM and reading off the fault codes if you can. IIRC, Jon had a similar situation in his Octy due to "Maximum engine revs exceeded - warranty void". I believe it may also go into limp mode if the revs are in the red zone for a minute or more....
