Power steering feels heavier to turn.

Featured Replies

My skoda vrs 2019 feels a little stiff while turning the steering wheel. I bought it 5months ago and I could swear it used to be much easier to turn.

Is there a way to tell if anything is wrong with it before I call the dealer?

Anything I can do to confirm my suspicion?

Can't find any topic on this hence Iam posting it.

Could be in sport mode rather than normal or eco?

Otherwise, there is a TPI regarding the power steering which might be the cause:

In regards to post number 1 I have checked the link you posted. And also it is on a normal mode, when I switch to sport it gets heavier to turn. I have no warning lights whatsoever it is just my simple gut feeling.

It might be worth of mentioning when we had recent temperatures below 0, I heard whining noise while turning. It don't happen any other time apart from when it's freezing cold outside. Does that have something to do with it ? Or that's normal during low temps.?

Thanks
