Hello

I'm trying to sort out my Skoda Fabia cigarette lighter socket.

It's faulty so the socket needs changing . I'm needing to know there 3 wires coming out just trying to work out what the 3 connect to - + and the 3rd.

 

3 Wires

Large  size There brown?

Large Black and white?

Smaller purple and white?

Try this wiring diagram snippet

 

T3b/1 = Brown - Earth

T3b/2 = Black/White - Positive from Fuse SB42

T3b/3 = Green/Blue (colour may differ, but a thinner wire) that is the light for socket

I just have a new socket with 2 connections so I can leave the smaller wire blanked of?

Yes, L42 is a bulb in diagram, so you should be able to cap it off securely and the socket will be fine.
