activating smartlink/mirrorlink on my car

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I have Skoda Octavia 2014 , 1.6 tdi.

Before some months I change the media from SWING MIB1 to SWING MIB2. My idea was to use Bluetooth and smartlink for Navi and music. But the dealer from Bulgaria told me that my media can not activate smartlink because the modules of my car doesn't find a media with smartlink. We tried with original activation code and it doesn't smart. There is written ERROR. CAN YOU HELP ME ? Is it there a chance to activate? I got the media from Octavia facelift.

Thank you

I don't think you can make this unit do what you wish, @pab567 can you confirm there is not much can be done with this unit for smartlink?

Unfortunately, I do confirm, I don't know anybody who can rework this unit and indeed, official activation is NOT possible. The only solution I know is to replace with MIB2 Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus.
